4 point harness

Does any one know where I can get a set of 4 point harnesses for standard porsche seats. and weather or not you can with standard seats as the racing seats the belts fit through the seat. There is no roll cage in the car so any suggestions for mouniting would be appreciated.

Schroth (current OEM for Porsche) and Sabelt make 4 point harnesses and these are readily available from a number of suppliers (DemonTweeks etc) in the UK.

To mount them without a rollcage would require a harness guide bar like the one made by Brey-Krause. http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/harnessguide.php

The real question is whether the seats you have would allow the belts to be safely/correctly positioned in relation to your body to properly restrain you.

Some others have had experience with harness bars and their effectiveness.

But imho, a roll cage + 6 point harness to prevent submarining remains a far better/safer proposition.
