4 wheel drive light

Am I being paranoid thinking something is wrong with the car, when I start the car car up in the morning my 4 wheel drive light comes on and stays on for about 15-20 seconds, then goes out is this normal?

The purpose of the PDAS light on start up is to indicate when the high pressure hydraulic system is up to pressure. As soon as the correct pressure is reached the light wil extinguish. It CAN take anything up to a minute or more sometimes - depending on how long the car has stood. If you drive off before the light goes out you'll invariably get a gong warning and the "!" light come on. This only applies to the C4 - the C2 doesn't have the same braking/PDAS System.

Paranoia is good for you!!! At least you don't ignore it!!!

15-20 Seconds is fine - after 30 seconds it would indicate a leak or other issue. As Dave says the light alerts to a fail and getting to the right pressure before driving off is a major part of that!
