4000 RPM FLAT SPOT

Hi

I need some advice. My 2.5 , 28k miles, Boxter has a flat spot around the 4000 rpm . It always had this since I bought it (18k miles) but seems to have got worse. OPC had a look at it a few mths ago and ran a computerised check on the variocam solenoids by switching them on /off and was found to be working correctly, The only fault was the lambda probe.

Along with this flat spot, I do get stalling on cold morning when I pull away. Does this all point to faulty MAF ?

Thanks

Goofy

I had the same thing. Hesitation at around 4,000 rpms then it reved up to redline. It was the air flow sensor.

I have a new (well, used for 10mins then taken out) MAF for your car that I am looking to get rid of.

You can try before you buy if you wanted...

Where abouts in the UK are you?

Jules
