Hola Compadres,
here and there discussions about 5 digit M-codes surfaced. I tried digging into the topic a bit deeper by the means of the holy google, various Porsche Forums and the local Porsche dealer. Got to say that I didn't get very far ... until recently.
A couple of weeks ago I bought my new baby, a RS N/GT that had two 5-digit M-codes on the VIN sticker inside the bonnet. I sent a request for a birth certificate to Porsche Stuttgart and enquired especially some information about the matter of the 5-digit M-codes and, .... finally received some answers. They decoded the 5-digit code by omitting the last digit as follows:
code 13601 = 1360 - Überrollkäfig geschweißt (roll cage welded)
code 14181 = 1418 - Entfall Beifahrersitz (omission of passenger seat)
Maybe the matter enthuses someone. I would luv to know wether there are more 5-digit codes out there.
Greetings from Cologne / Dsheermaanie
