5 previous owners?

Not all that unusual, IMHO. I was the 4th owner when I bought my '02 last Sept. So long as it has been serviced & loved, don't worry - "Buy on condition!"

Many thanks, I presumed cars of this calibre would change hands quite frequently and therefore the amount of owners would not really come into consideration as long as everything else stakes up which you have kindly.
Well the car in question actually belonged to my Dad (owned for 1.5 yrs and let it slip through my fingers) before the current owner bought it. The current owner has owned it for 10 months and I believe the mileage is around the early to mid thirties. An idea on the price would also be greatly appreciated, spec is as follows:

02' 52
Basalt black with black leather interior
PDC
Alu dials
Sunroof
Heated seats
Sport seats
Bose upgrade
Twin oval tip exhaust
Embossed head rests
Amourfended
?£?

Many thanks once again [;)]

Agreed - numerous owners not at all unusual for a Porsche, especially over the first few years of its life.

As a private sale, probably around £33K to £35K with a warranty. I wouldn't personally buy privately without it having gone through the 111 point check & it been given a Porsche warranty. Feb is dead time for the trade so prices can be negotiated there too.

Thanks Nick, will deff. be getting the pre-check and warranty.
£32-£35 sounds a bit too cheap (would love it to be this price though), looking on autotrader it appears they are going for around the £36/7k mark http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.asp?searchform=&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&photo=1&state=none&sort=3&hassearched=Y&make=PORSCHE&min_pr=75&source=0&model=911&max_pr=&agerange=&mileage=4&miles=40&trim=c4s&keywords=&postcode=ox15+5na&ukcarsearch_full.x=55&ukcarsearch_full.y=13
Should be speaking with him this evening re price

I always think that it's in the first few months or year of ownership that you look after a car the best, after that the special-ness wears off at bit, so the more new owners the better it's been care'd for.

Looking at prices in the 'trader will only tell you what people are asking, not what the car actually goes for. There can be quite a difference in the two, particularly at this time of year. That's all I was trying to say. I still reckon that you shouldn't have to pay much over £35K privately.

Good luck!

Thanks Nick just checking you wern't comparing it to a normal C4 pricewise.
I'll let you know the outcome and if I do manage £35k then I'll be over the moon[:)]

Nick,, actually, February is a good month for car sales !! Car stock is always £500-£1000 dearer that before christmas, Best time to buy is Nov/December
After Christmas is out the way,(visa bill paid), everyone looking at the year ahead, that's why a the boat show is on in Jan, as well as caravan shows, all the holiday programs etc
Also think you are a tad hard on a C4S 02 with 30-35k, nearer £37-38K private

Sorry mate,, coat on and gone

Ah well, it's been nearly 30 years since I was active in the game, so either I'm mis-remembering, or the game has changed [:)]

Think the game has changed more in the last 5 that the previous 30, And the so-and so's keep moving the goalposts mid game, without telling anyone !
