5000 miles on (better than last time)

As there are a lot of posts on build quality and reliability, just wanted to add that I have now clocked up just over 5K miles in just under 4 months with 76.5K on the clock.

Apart from the Alarm Control Unit failing, which was covered under warranty the car is rock solid with no rattles or bits falling off !!

I expect I will clock up some 15K miles this year so I hope it continues to be reliable.

The only job is cosmetic which I am having down in a couple of months is the front PU.

So how about some input from other high mileage 996's out there ?

Ok
I totally agree - it seems the higher mileage 996's do benefit for the use. I think mines has the highest mileage around and has been and continues to be totally reliable. It has done a 142k now and neither drips nor uses any oil. I am in the process of buying its replacement (see buying a 996) a facelift cab in guards red. Mine is speed yellow and the only problem I have now is that the bottom seems to have dropped out of the resale market for high mileage 996's! But for the price it seems to be worth I would suggest any one who currently owns an older style 911 and wants to update mine would make very good financial sense - it can't possible go down in value any more. So someone make me an offer maybe?
