Is anybody from the region going to the above as I have not heard of anybody going.
I have got my tickets and will be going up on the Sunday, to see the auction, and thought we could have a convoy from the region, and say meet at Reading services or the like, open to suggestions.

regards
Ian & Karen

Hi Ian, Hi Karen

I was never going to be able to make this weekend so I haven't put anything together. I know that others from the Region are going but I haven't heard about any arrangements.

Sorry

James

[FONT=Arial"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]I am surprised no one else in the region has responed to this, being a fairly straighforward drive to Cirencester. Unfortunately, I will be at a wedding on Saturday, but might consider going to the Sunday event. What time do you think you will pass M4 Reading services?

I'll be going. I don't have tickets, but did read another post saying that you can pay when you arrive. So I'll go under the assumption that if I show up there i should be able to get in. I went to Castle Combe today and had a lovely sunny day watching loads of Porsches running around on track. Silverstone tomorrow...

ah, yes... what time are you thinking of for a meet up?

Sorry guys, my father inlaw was rushed into hospital with a collapsed lung so we were not sure if we were going to make the event at all so did not want to commit.
We did go, a bit bleary eyed but had a good run there dispite the rain on the way down.
I did not think the show was grand enough for a 50th anniversary, i have been to other porsche club events that were better, the highlights for me were the auction, the bacon and egg bap we had on arrival and the mass of visitors Porsches on display, Karen and I were saying that what makes porsches different is that there is rarely two the same, and the concours which put my clean car to shame, these guys are committed or should that, be committed. some fantastic metal on show.
It's a shame that there were very few 356's, the model that I love.
I saw a Citroen looking lonely under the region 19 gazebo, I didn't know there was going to be a regional area gazebo, we could have put our car under it to help boost our regions profile although we were not the only region to not show.
For those not in attendance it turned into a lovely hot day and we drove back with the roof down, well most of the way.
Overall we had a good day.[;)]

That would have been me slowly getting back into the saddle after the passing of my dear old Ma less than a month ago
