As you may have seen we have been tasked with finding a car from every year of the Club.

Is there anyone out there who owns a 1993 968 who would be willing to display it at the RAC at Cirencester on the Sunday ?

A 'phone call would be greatly appreciated. 01253 592755

Sadly if no-one comes forward the 968 will not be represented on the 50 Year Display, and that would be a great shame.

Hello Mac and Sue

I do indeed have a 968 cabriolet, white inside, Tahoe blue outside (she has been to Cornbury House on various occasions most recently on the BBQ day) registered on the 22/2/93. Can you please tell me what the commitment would be on the day so I could see if it's possible for us to do it? ie, does the car have to be there at a certain time until a certain time (I appreciate it will be there most of the day!). Also, it's nose is somewhat pebble-dashed .... she's a working car, not a show car so I'm afraid bears the scars! If no-one else comes forward with a better specimen then if I can help I certainly will, but need to know a bit more about what would be involved. If you would like me to email you a photo I can (I've tried embedding one on here, but my pix are too large and I haven't the no-how to change them at this stage!) Thanks, Pamela

Hello Pamela.

Good to hear from you. If you don't mind could you drop us a line on macandsue911@hotmail.co.uk and we can sort out details with you.

Thankyou

Apologies for not responding sooner - been away fishing on Islay. I'm not sure whether it'll still be mine as my CS is currently for sale here on the forum and on PH, however it is a 93. I wasn't planning on attending the 50th as I'm trying to move house but perhaps one weekend wouldn't be the end of the world. I suppose a For Sale notice in the windscreen might be a bit infra dig.......... For that matter the colour scheme of the wheels (black with Maritime outer rims) is a matter of taste, though I love it. Of course the original silver wheels could always go back on.

Like the cab it's not a garage queen but it's not far away.

Sorry Richard.....Have only just seen your post.

We now have a '93 car in place but thanks for the offer anyway.
