Hi Andy .. Yes it was the run out model I posted info about back in September time ... According to my source of info the new model will be here September/October 2004 ... More power hmmmm depends how hungry Porsche are to retain the "Best Sports Car In The World" tag I guess....

Merc have a really hot next generation SLK coming out with the AMG55 engine so if that's the case I hope Porsche respond accordingly with a similar version of the Boxster.

I trust that Porsche marketing now realise there are two definite strings to there bow 996 owners, with there fabulous choice of models and engines, and then us with just two choices to choose from so far!

After 7 extremely successful years establishing it's own market it would be criminal if Porsche didn't now let the Boxster have it's head in a similar fashion the 996 has been allowed to evolve over the years.

Oh well time will tell which way this cookie is going to crumble [:D]

Being charitable, I hope the Porsche AG marketing types do in fact understand us owners and are being held back by the financial types who see more profit in the 911 brand with higher prices and margins.

We shall have to wait and see if we Boxster lovers see a wider range of performance offered.
