Has anyone done this (on a widebody car)?
I have 5mm spacers on the car now, and am about to fit Sport Classics (i.e. modern interpretation of Fuchs - same size as Carrera Sport wheels - 8.5 55ET and 11.5 50ET). Current wheels are 8 57ET and 11 51ET.
Do I need to remove the spacers? I don't really want to take them off, as the current wheels will go back on when winter comes.
I'm most concerned with contact with the wheelarch (the outer edge of the tyre will be 8mm (F) and 7mm (R) further out compared to current - that's CLOSER to the wheelarch lip). Probably not an issue in daily use, but wheels can get buried in the wheelarch on track.
