5th Gear on TV last night

I turned on to watch this last night and just caught the end of Jason Plato buying a 944 cab in blue on a J plate for £8k. I think they are giving the car away in a competition.

Did anyone catch the whole thing ?

I think it's repeated later tonight on Ch5, but in brief, they'd established that the average spend on a car in the UK is £8,211. You don't get a lot of new car for that, so Jason Plato set out to look at second hand buys for equivelant money. He looked at an Audi (think it was the A8), then a BMW Mini, but of course, the S2 (cab) was his choice.

Jason loved the car too. [:D]

I will obvioulsy be winning it after texting 1,000,0000 times!!!

Does that work out cheaper than just purchasing one???

Nope, for the cost of a million texts you could but a Carrera GT, Enzo, and the new DTM merc [8|]

I think it's about 95p a text!

Bit dissapointed with the "test" to be honest - it was quite brief.I hoped it would be a bit like a "top gear" comparison.
Good to see one on the box though and the presenters were positive about it.Very nice cab too!
