6 months without my s2

hiya,,,
its been 6 month or so since I let my beloved s2 go,,,,,,
do I reget it? yes as soon as I saw her leave,,,car has never got "under my skin" like her,,,,,was it the right thing to do? heart says no but the fact
that I have done more miles in our replacement in 6 months then I did in the s2 in a couple of years!,,so head says yes,,,,
a 964 that I thought I could get,,never happened as costs escalated to the point where it will soon be retailed for 20k,,,
we are moving in the near future and i will own another 944 plus still have an itch for a 968..
my s2 was the best car I have ever owned and I enjoyed every minute of owning her!..
it made it easy to find a replacement,
after accepting that it wouldn't come anywhere near my s2,,,,
I wish everyone a very happy xmas and a great 2015,,,,,,jasonp

cheers Andrew and frenchy,,,,,
i really like the 968 in purple or dark blue,,defo an itch that will need scratching,
our sl350 is like driving a big sofa around but auto is nice when most of my driving is in and around inner London
and shes not missed a beat since getting her [touchwood],,thanks again guys,,,,jasonp

Sounds like you need a 968 tip!
hey chris,,good to hear from you and yes its gonna be very tempting to go
for a tip when the time comes,, I didn't realize what fun you can have with a tip box,,

Hmmmm...You have an SL350, I have a 968 tip cab, we're starting to find getting in and out of the cab a bit awkward, especially with the roof up (age, meccano hip (hers), knackered lower back (his)). Wonder if the SL would fit into my garage - I know a CLK is about a foot too long!

hey chris,,,
the sl fits in our garage just!,,its deceiving how wide and long they are in my opinion and the s2 had lots of space both sides and ends when garaged,,,,
very comfortable though chris and feels solid,,,,

You were mad to sell that S2 Jason - you spent a hill of money on it and it was a lovely car. Mad, I tell thee, mad! [&:]

Shame you didn't get the 964 to replace it. Best of luck with finding a good 968 (or another 944) in due course.

Oh, and Happy Christmas!

hey oli,,,,,,I know! it wasn't one of my better decisions in hindsight,,,,and the 964 kept going up and up,,,,
so we settled on something that I got the chance to buy for a good price with all the big jobs done and an immaculate history and condition...
that hopefully wont take long to go when the time comes,,,,i start to get sweaty palms whenever I drive in the east end just in case I get a glimpse of her,,,
cheers oli and a very merry xmas and a great 2015,,,, so looking forward to midnight mass on xmas eve,,,,,,jasonp

Happy Christmas Jason ! Hope you are able to find a really good car in your quest to return to the frontrunner fold [:)]
