have 4 points in my car with all eye bolts screwed to tunnel rear shelf etc, was goin to fit crotch strap 2 points,is there a bar i can put between seat mounting point,or do i have to drill the floor and fit plates with nut welded to it,also i have 1 eye bolt on each side on rear shelf which was fitted fo 3 point harness, is it ok to put 2 catchs on each of these rather than drill more holes as i have 4 point so 2 to each eye bolt, have fitted them this way before very tight to get onto eye bolt, just wondering is it dangerous?also any one fitted fire extinguisher like gt3 one to their rs,again do you have to drill the floor to fit this

You'll need the second mounting on the parcel shelf if you are going to fit a 4 point harness otherwise the belts will be coming over your shoulders at the wrong angle in the event of putting them to the test. Some of the RS have the necessary mounting points on the shelf and some don't (mine doesn't)
Don't know if you have looked under the car yet ? but you may find the attachment points for the crutch straps are already there.

I think the N-GT had the ecu moved to enable the crutch straps to be mounted. IIRC, it was repositioned to the rear "seat" area. I'm sure Des will be along soon to confirm.
Correct......but also makes unit more accessible for changing over.
In the Cup races, all of the units were removed from the cars and then dished out randomly to ensure no tampering........
You can either move the ecu further down on it's plate or as you say move the ecu to the "cup" configuration. Some cars may or may not already have the fixing holes. Mine did'nt but i made some anyway. The plate for fixing the ecu to the cup car fixing is a porsche part number. But it's a very simple stamping that could easily be made diy

Hi rs phil - if you can hold off drilling holes for a few days , I'll go have a look at how my crutch strap is attached (!)......from memory there's a fitting that bolts into the seat mounting rails and no drilling or welding needed, assume thats OK for the load as it was a race team (Tech9) that did it for me []
OK, these would appear not to have a Porsche part number.
Manufacturer --- Kingeler ?
I'll post a couple of pics (now I can !) but if you want the files high res --- you may be able to decipher the address. Maybe a Google search on Kingler would work ?
As you will see, one of my extinguishers has been used ? !, the other appears to be OK.
But I wll not be relying on either -- I'll fit a modern alternative.
