6 point harness for 718 Spyder

Hi. I have ordered a 718 Spyder with full buckets and plan to do some trackdays. Has anyone fitted a 6 point harnesses to their car? I assume the lap and crouch belt attachments will be fine with the full bucket seat. Does the Spyder have an attachment point in the tub like the GT4 or am I going to need a harness bar for the shoulder belts? Thanks.

If you have ordered a new Spyder from an OPC I would ask them the questions and if it can be done in the factory I am sure they will assist you via your wallet to get it done as part of your order. There is also a fire extinguisher that fits in front of the passenger seat that can be ordered too.
I assume you have the standard race type tyres fitted as part of the Order too.

You will love the car when you get it.

Thanks. I will ask the OPC. Updated configurator offers summer tyre option which sounds like PS4 type tyre, so I think Cup 2 CNT is probably still standard, but will check when finalise spec. Recently drove the Porsche Experience 718 Spyder. Very balanced, nice sound (hopefully quiet enough for more trackdays, at present limited to 105dB static), 8,000rpm limit nice (but you always want more), pedals close for heel and toe, rev match nice addition. Shame deliveries have been delayed. Should arrive September (was April), looking forward to PCGB trackdays and LoT in 2022.

Yep Race tyres are still the standard tyre but you may get Dunlop Race 2 or Michelin cup tyres. As far as I know you can’t specify the tyre manufacturer.

i’d think that getting a harness bar would be the best way...

check out brey-Krause @ bkauto.com for the right kind of parts, although other places might do a lot also.

If you’re going with a 6 point harness that will mean you’ll need to mount the anti-sub belts too - in the GT4 these fix to the floor. In your car you’ll need and anti-sub bar that fixes to the bottom of the seat. Or you just forgo that run a specific 4-point harness.

all possible.
