Looking around for something to replace the teledials on my 1985 944 , i've seen some 16" Fuchs , but the set are a pair of 6J fronts and a pair of 7J rears .
Am i likely to go straight on at the first quick corner with 6J wheels on the front of my car ?

It won't be that bad. I had an S2 with 964 6" front D90's and I didn't even notice for a while [:(]

Combined with a narrower tyre, I found 6J wheels on the front a positive advantage on a daily driver without power steering. I wasn't exactly looking for "ultimate handling", so excepted that it was compromised, and prefer cars slightly more understeery anyway.

Regards,

Tref.

For your car, make sure they are pre 1987 Fuchs... as the 6J fuchs were used on the 3.2 carrera's from 1983 through to 1989.. the 1987 to 1989 wheels have an offset which will see the 6j's sat about an inch too far into the arches, which will work, but will look kinda crazy!
