My car had it's 24K service last August, so is due a service again. It's only done around 4K miles in the last 12 months (I know: must try harder[]), so I don't think it needs another big service, but it does need an oil change at the very least. Of course it's had plenty of money spent on it for other unscheduled maintenance. Question is, should I book it in for a 6K (oil change) service thus getting the important stamp in the book, or do the oil change myself but sans stamp in book? I don't mind spending the money, but oil changes are something I've done myself previously. And I'd probably use better oil. I guess the issue is that of full stamped service history or not.
What does everyone else do?
I should add that I'm not planning on selling the car any time soon, it's a keeper as far as I'm concerned.
