Hi everyone
The next meeting will be at the Coopers Arms on the 7th March.
After the meeting there will be a talk by Steve Dolby from Michelin tyres
See you there
Tom

Hi all....anyone mind a newbie showing up?

The only problem is, I won't be in my 997 Turbo as it's broken and at my OPC (unless a miracle happens and they fix it tomorrow). So I'll be in the lovely Enterprise hire car they've so kindly arranged for me....a Saab 9-3!

your be made most welcome. lots of people turn up at these meets in their "other" car especially at this time of year so fear not,you won't be the only non porsche in the car park.

hope its nothing too seriously wrong with your turbo []

Went to my first R8 meet last night, very enjoyable, the Michelin presentation was very interesting,Mr Dolby was very patient with my questions .Thanks very much[:)]

Hi Mark

Thanks for the feedback. It's alway good to know what the members think of the meetings.

I must give fellow members Alan and Beryl all the credit for organising the talk and thanks again to them for their hard work.

Cheers

Tom

I tagged along with MarkK (thanks for the lift!), my first PCGB meet too and I learnt a fair bit from Steve Dolby and Alan too.

Must remember to get there early next time to sample the fine food at The Coopers Arms, it looked delicious!

Thanks for making my first meet enjoyable and nice to meet many of you!

You're a very friendly bunch of people who made Vicki and I feel very welcome and we look forward to seeing you at future events...indeed, the evening was in a great location and very well organised.

The Michelin talk was very informative although I'm still not satisfied with the lack of Pilot Supersport availability for my car lol [;)]

just discovered this tram museum in our region that i knew nothing about, thought it might make a good day out?

The Tramway museum is about 3 miles down the road from where I live, I have been a couple of times, when I was younger for other childrens birthday parties. I remember the day being fun and interesting but the food is (or was, about 10 years ago) horrible. [:'(]

They have a rather interesting day, where a very large gathering of Soviet cars meet for "Red October" day. I have not been to this but know a few who have and had a good day. Of course, as with any of these sorts of very specific events, you get the "playing dress up" element of Soviet uniforms etc as well as the cars! [8D]
