718 PDLS+ headlamp aiming adjustment

I am very pleased with main-beam performance on these LED headlights but less so with dipped beam.
The driver's side dipped beam appears to be aimed very low, compared with the passenger side, even allowing for the cut-off pattern.

I assume that any aiming adjustment has to be done via software, rather than a screw-driver fix?

If so - is this a dealer-only job, or can it be addressed via something like Carly (or other similar dongle/app combos)?

Maybe I also need to check whether the switch-on self-check beam down/up movement is happening properly (just in case)?
 
If your PDLS is working properly then you should notice the headlights doing a 'check' when they first come on. If not then it's a dealer or Indie job I'm afraid. The PDLS is a bit too complex to do a manual adjustment as far as I know although an MOT station may be able to help you out.
