My Spyder only has 300 miles on it but there is a constant drone on the over run at 2000-3000 ish RPM. Is this commonplace?

2k rpm !! you own a high reving 8k GT style of engine.
what's it like at 5k revs + ?

the issue is you will be over the speed limit even in 2nd gear !
modern cars have lost their way a bit sadly :-(

but 2k revs, you are in the wrong gear even for running in !!

Mine sounds like a sewing machine and drones on overrun but changes depending on revs. It’s a GT engine with less sound deadening so you can expect lots of different noises etc. Just enjoy it once it’s run in a bit.

Thanks, but you need to pass through 2-3000 rpm on the way down from 8000 rpm.
