I decided to give the car a run today. I have not started my car for a month. Drove gently for approximately five or six miles to warm every thing up. However, when I began to drive a little more spiritedly, I noticed a small amount of white smoke. Would this be normal ? The car has 18000 miles on the clock and is a 718. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Adrian,
Most probably it’s just residual condensation in the exhaust system and I doubt that a gentle five mile run will clear it all, especially if the car’s been unused for a while. Plus, being a turbo engine a lot of heat energy is taken out by the turbo so the system may well run cooler anyway.
I’d give the car a decent run of 20 miles or more to get everything thoroughly warmed-up and see what happens then.
