nice

This is why I am convinced the next gt4 will be f4 turbo!

Nice to hear you are alive and well MrD youve gone quiet on ph and some of the usual suspects (wind up merchants)are missing you lol

I have left PH :), same old rubbish and too many people not being very nice to each other.

Now that's a proper power and torque hike..! And that's just for starters.

More pressure on AP and his team to decide upon a n/a versus f-4 turbo solution for the 982 GT4.

I guess they are wedded to NA for GT cars for now, but of course they have a power ceiling issue with 991.1 GT3 engine now at 500hp. Setting aside the issues with the cam followers at high revs, I wonder where they'll find extra hp. Interestingly there is more upside available with the 981 3.8L engine by adding PowerKit internals and tune.

I'd guess with the USA market valuing 4-on-the-floor manuals and traditional power trains, the next generation of GT4 will stay NA but with a PDK option.

I'm inclined to agree with you Ralph - heart ruling head maybe - and I reckon the PDK option will be definitely be offered next time around.

I was interested to see the BIW mods to the rear structure over the 981-series. Not a huge difference and the f-4 uses a 4-point mounting system to a powertrain subframe, so we'll have to wait and see whether or not it's still possible to slot the f-6 in the revised rear body using the same mount pick-up points as before.

Personally, I don't think it will be long before we see the GT cars taking the turbo route to remain competitive.

Yes Alan; and from the marketing standpoint it would be interesting to see how Porsche would handle a GT3 turbo versus a GT2.
