73' 911 fuel

Hi all, cab is run my 73' 911 on neat unleaded or do I need to keep putting lead replacement in???

Ni need for fancy additives, Porsches have been designed to run on unleaded fuels for 50 years or so. You only need low octane as well.

As Nick says, standard unleaded petrol is all you need.

An interesting comment I read on Pelican Parts is that the 2.4 litre engines were designed to run on 87 octane fuel because of their low compression. If you use a higher Octane Rated fuel they contain more Anti-Knock additives and are progressively more difficult to ignite and should only be used by higher compression ratio engines. My 2.4S engine runs well when in Germany, on 91 Octane petrol called "Benzin". Just be careful of the French 95E10 petrol when in France as it may attack your old? flexible fuel pipes, I am presently replacing all of mine after a drive round France on our "FOTY".
