7th Birthday & M.O.T. Test

JCB..

My car sailed through it's 4th MOT today.

No dodgy suspension despite fast approaching 93K miles mostly on the Army testing grounds that pass for roads in Gloucestershire plus a few trackdays.

1 coolant tank [:(]
1 headlamp bulb (well 2 as I changed them both for the blue jobbies)
2 tail light bulbs!
1 set of heat shield fasteners
1 RMS and rusty wheel bolts under warranty ( it was so long ago I'm surprised I can still spell it)
High tone horn failed twice

Changed the OEM discs for a set of Porscheshop drilled discs and Green EBC pads all round 4 years ago.

Oh and a lot of tyres including a new set today!

Everything else came with it.

Two sets of pads in 7 years+!

I reckon you put on the miles Ferris Bueller style...on bricks...in a garage![:D]

EBC Greens - You need a bit more effort on the road but great on the track.

(And they seem to last for ever!) [:)]

6 years and 48,000 miles on my original discs & pads so far...[:)]

(Had the service done today)

You forgot to mention that it's also showroom condition. [:)]

Conscious of a few bricks in the corner of the garage I checked my files and I did indeed have a set of front pads fitted between the OEM and the Greens.

So that's 2.5 sets in 7 years. [sm=kiss.gif]

[:D]...so u didn't mention the windscreen wipers or the front pads...is there also an engine replacement that might have been left out of that list?....I'm beginning to think you've bought yourself a lemon there John[:D]

Seriously though, that goes to show, with a bit of mechanical sympathy when you drive, the Boxster can be an incredibly reliable car that can be run on a shoestring.
Well done!
