Saturday 7th October at 7pm

The 996 Register have booked an evening meal and get-together in conjunction with the London Region to celebrate 45 years of the PCGB to which we are all invited. Please liaise directly with Johnny McGirl as instructed below.

The meal is at the Bavarian Beerhouse, 190 City Road, London, EC1V 2QH - http://www.bavarian-beerhouse.co.uk/ - from 7pm. The date co-incides with their Oktoberfest Beer Festival which should make for a lively atmosphere, supported by a genuine Bavarian 'oompah ?' band flown-in for the month !

"The cost is payable on the evening at £17.95 for a 3 course meal, Members should return their menu choice with names and membership number to John McGirl, 996 Reg Sec at 996@porscheclubgb.com and we will meet on site for 7pm for our 50 member exclusive area set aside, this is London's 1st Bavarian restaurant, the staff are great and recommendations and comments have been excellent, please come and enjoy our 45 years anniversary of PCGB together.

We thank and look forward to our friends from Porsche Centre Cambridge joining us for the evening.
Website www.bavarian-beerhouse.co.uk shows some good images, the menu choice is attached and I-we look forward your replies at your earliest convenience please.

Regards

John & Denise McGirl.
Location offers nearby tube and hotels if required, please remember as alcohol is offered and likely to be consumed driving to the event is not advised by PCGB and its organizers.-signed John McGirl-"

Hi Kevin,
Did you guys have a word with the management? Johnny McGirl and I are more than happy to take this up with their management; so can we please have some more details. How was the beer worse? Was it flat, stale, cheap brand? And the food, was it bland, unpalatable, poorly cooked? appreciate your feedback, you can PM us on the email below or post here (your choice).

Really appreciate any constructive feedback as this night is going ahead i.e. we have book this up and have already had a very good response.

Many thanks,
Kish

Kevin, ^^^ bump ^^^
Thanks for your time in advance.

Didn't speak to the management.

It was a poorly attended CCCC evening probably due to the change of venue from our usual Smithfield location and as we had no intention of going back seemed little point.

Menu was limited and fine if you like cabbage.

Perhaps Mel (Spears) might contradict me as I think he liked his nosh but as you know these 'truckies' will eat anything.

Beers either very bland or very strong and too many 6% ers on a workday evening normally spell trouble, well at least is does for me.

Hope that helps

I'm going for the vegetarian options so looks like I'll manage to skip the cabbage [;)]; planning to drive there so no beer for me [:(] hope the Orange Juice is fine [:D]
Anyway, more importantly, we'll have lots of Porsche enthuisast on the same table; will be a good laugh and a night to remember...
