'87 944 disconnecting electrical harness for seats

Having trouble finding where to disconnect the electrical harness on my 944 seats as I'm taking the seats out to be retrimmed.

Its the thick black cable in the middle, doesn't seem to have a straight forward harness clip to detach?

The plug is behind the smaller of the two brass type plates. Slide along the black tab to disengage it from behind.
 
Cant seem to budge the black plug behind the brass plate, does it unclip or just slide the whole black plug to the right (as in the photo)
 
Should slide to the right and push thro. It will be stiff so some force is required. You could also unscrew the brass plates and have a look around so you see how it all goes together.
