If you are the type that works on your own car, then you may find this engine wiring loom info useful.

There is a lot of very good technical info on that site too - it's my first port of call and has been invaluable.

Nice spot there, here's what i got:

9-1, Coil signal from DME (same as you)
9-2, Ground from DME to injectors and fuel pump relay
9-3, Ground link from DME to fuel pump relay (not sure why this second link is here, maybe a failsafe feature or something)
9-4, Supply to aux air valve from fuel pump relay via fuse 2 on additional fuse board
9-5, DME +ve switching to fuel pump relay
9-6, Oil pressure sender to gauge (the second wire you wondered about is a signal to the warning light via connectors C12 and D18)
9-7, Spur from the starter solenoid switched supply to DME (probably to make the DME aware the starter is activated and increase the coil low tension voltage)
9-8, Coolant temp signal (same as you)
9-9, not sure can only find it as a brake pad wear switch signal but not convinced

Interesting they are different ... Do you have the same wire colours? I was hoping this connector would be more useful than it proved to be actually for the problem I was chasing. I was looking for the coolent temperature sensor wire to the DME - so there must be another connector somewhere for that , the airflow meter emperature & flow, & the injectors..

We're only different on 3 pins but possibly more because i was using the wiring schematic from an '84 944 which is the closest i can get to an '88 924s.

I think i do have the same wire colours as you but i think you've misidentified the colours on pins 2 and 5, i make them BE/RD and BK/GY respectively. The coolant temp sensor is yellow and doesn't go through any plugs according to the drawing, neither does the MAF. Nice spot though that plug, i'm sure it'll come in handy some day.

Hmmm... On a 1980 Turbo there is a brown and white wire running through this plug... I'd be interested to know what it is for, because it was connected to a now disfunctional alarm/immobiliser...

I think I have identified the wire I have a problem with... so stopped... anyway, pick the bones out of this:

According to the Haynes book of lies for a '79/80 924, it is T7a:

Connections are:

Pin 1- Brown/White "" Manifold pressure Limiting switch to fuel pump relay terminal 31
Pin 2 "" Blue/White "" oil sender (Guage)
Pin 3 "" Red/Black "" between starter solenoid positive, and thermo time switch/cold start valve
Pin 4 "" Black/Yellow "" coolant temperature sender
Pin 5
Pin 6 "" Blue/Black "" oil sender (warning light)
Pin 7 "" Red/White "" Fuse 2 on additional fuse box to warm up regulator and supplementary air valve.

The others may be in there "" I stopped when I found the brown and white wire I was looking for!

Hope that one day, this may help some-one.

Regards,

Tref.
