Hi

I know this has most probably been on here before and i did a quick search but nothing came up as recent so i will ask again..

Struggling to find tyres to fit the original 16"silver Rose wheels that i have just purchased...can any one help as to what they run and has a good wear rate . Road only and NO track days.

Thank you

Regards

Ian

Toyo T1-R's available all round. Good dry grip, passable in the wet, quite soft so do wear down, especially inner edges of fronts (though my car is lowered). Backs seem to wear more even. Reasonably priced also at about £80 quid front and £100 rear. Other than that you will struggle to find a manufacturer that does both front and back sizes, is decent, is good value for money, and offers decent performance.

Personally, Id be looking for 4x 225/50/16s all around. People tend to make up reasons, but there arent any not to that hold water.

I agree with Simon - I gave up running the 9" CS' at the back years ago. I find that D90's at the back and 7.5" CS at the front with 225/55's 16" all round (ie square) gives very neutral handling.

Even with the same rubber, 245's at the rear gives more grip than you need at the back meaning the car will tend to understeer. With 225's all round, yes the rear end will step out if you push it very hard but generally the car is neutral handling.
