'88 turbo wing

I need a passenger side wing for my '88 turbo, obviously in good condition and one that hasn't been repaired previously-anyone got one lying around they'd like to sell or know where I can get one? (I have tried the usual places)

I struggled to find one 2nd hand. Most are rusty at the bottom by the wheel.

The cheapest new is Euro Car Parts at £400 - I think £500 from Porsche.

Phil-thanks for your reply-Euro car parts quoted me over£500 which is more or less the Porsche price

I think we need some sort of group buy I need an O/S wing for WUF, but would rather replace both before respray. Should we make a list of who wants new wings. I'll start if off, just add you name and wants underneath and if we get enough interest, I'll do the negotiation with Porsche to see what we can get..

Format is wing type (ie Turbo/S2 or earlier) and N/S or O/S. I'll keep this updated.

Rick 944 Turbo N/S + O/S
Tony 944 Turbo N/S + O/S

Rather than buying individual wings in a group buy, Debbie suggests it may be cheaper buying a Bargain Bucket and you get free coleslaw :ROFLMAO:

Feel free to beat her with a stick at Eynsham [8|]

I had the same problem getting a wing a few years back , What i did was get a pair of standard wings of a lux model which are easier to get hold off and dropped them off at the body shop with the front PU and the guy re-shapped the wings by cutting ,bending the lip over and welding them up so they fitted the turbo Pu, they came out perfect and looked fine once fitted. Apparently it was quite an easy job to do !!!

I'm interested in a new pair as well, but I suppose I would lose the potential group buy discount in the shipping to Paris.
(cheapest I have found here is £400 per wing).

A little birdy told me this morning that Simon Butterworth has a new Turbo offside wing in red - apparently Porsche mislabelled some stock and several OPCs got Turbo wings when they ordered Lux ones, so Simon has bought up all he can of what were sometimes painted and hence used parts before it was realised they didn't fit a lux. He may even have more, but he only collected the red one from Exeter on Saturday. Might be worth giving him a ring if you're looking.
