911 2.4E Mechanical Injection

New member
Looking for some help. Recently bought my 911 2.4E Targa, sold as with Webber but actually turned out to be Zeniths. The Zeniths had a missing screw and the garage offered me a set of unknown Webbers. Porsche Mode in Bristol have tried to balance the car with the Webbers but no luck. Its been suggested that I look out for a Mechanical Injection and put the car back to its original state, does anyone have any advice on whether this is a good idea, and where I start to look for the injection.

Thanks Jason

By the way I am a member but the profile tells me I'm not any ideas on how to show this in the forum, sorry I'm a novice to the forum and 911's.

Welcome to the forum, Jason.

Firstly, it appears that a lot of the early boys and their technical prowess are also lurking on the ddk website www.ddk-online.com

Secondly,If it says "Non Member" by your name, you need to confirm your Membership Number and Forum Name to Club HQ (email cluboffice@porscheclubgb.com ) This should be a one-time fix, and will also allow you access to the member-only areas of the Forum.

(The reason you need to do this is because it would cost a lot of money to link the Membership, and the Forum databases. I'm sure you would want to spend money on more important things...)

All the best,

A complete system is going to be very hard to come by. A few cars had their systems taken off when they started to go wrong and if they are still in storage somewhere the pump will almost certainly need to be rebuilt.

You will need
Injection pump which is different for T,E and S.
Injection stacks
throttle bodies
cross linkage and throttle linkages
6 onjection lines
Higher pressure fuel pump and filter
A few other bits such as tinware, pulleys and a belt.

The easiest solution is probably to buy a complete scrap car or motor to get the full set up.

Thanks for the info guys.
Nick is it something that Early 911 might take on as a project. I'm not mechanically minded, but here to learn. I want to put the car back on the road asap, and enjoy the summer, but would wait if there was a better option.
I have a set of Webber although they don't seem to work correctly. Should I just go for having them stripped down? I've had a look at your website and impressed by the work. I'd be interested in you taking a look.
