911 3.3 turbo ignition amplifier

Hello all!

I really hope someone can help out there. I have just purchased my first 911 turbo 1981 with a mere 35k on the clock after saving the pennies hard for years. After a steady trip along the south coast the poor old girl coughed and sputtered to a halt. There's nothing more embarrassing than being broken down on the side of the motorway whilst waiting for the AA to relay you home I found out in a bright red 911! I'm not sure who was more radiant, the car or my face! Anyway, the fault was traced to the ignition amplifier. To my horror a new one is very expensive and old units are no longer repaired by Bosch.

Has anybody out there got a spare secondhand unit in their garage that I can purchase please as the bank balance won't allow me a new one!

I can be contacted on either jonathansmith@worldyachting.fsnet.co.uk or at home on 01258 830198 or mobile 07711 137474.

Many thanks, Jonathan
