911-50

nascar

New member
Took delivery of my graphite grey 911-50 12 days ago. Really pleased. Only niggle is a hum/whistle at 800-1100rpm. Really faint but I can hear it. Is it possibly the sound symposer? Need to have it checked out. A real step up from my Cayman S.

Also became a PCGB member, but no means of updating on the forums.

I just had to Google 'sound symposer'. I've heard it all now. [&:]

A small part of my love of the Porsche brand just died. [&o]

I'm all registered now as nhkader. Had to change my userid from nascar which in any event I'm not a fan of (they only turn left) and have less than desirable cars.

I'll post pics when the rain stops.

I'm still having issues with the OPC regrading the fact they overcharged me for my options. When I ordered the car, the UK options pack was not yet out but it was out well before I paid for the car and took delivery. I only noticed this after the fact and have asked them to make good the difference because I have all the options included in the UK options package. I'm quite irritated that they are not responding and I will get legal with them soon. This is not what I expect from Porsche GB.

I have also not resolved the hum/whistle that comes on momentarily when the car hits the rev range. It does not linger at all, but as I've been travelling a bit, have not had time to even enjoy the car....and then I still have to sort out the price overcharge.

Thanks to the admin people for resolving my membership details.

ask them for all the build codes

if the 911-50 package code is listed, they were only charged the price for the by PCGB and are trying a fast one.

if your options are separately listed, they probably did not get package pricing.
