Had a pleasant surprise,I was unable to make the service clinic on 16th,Porsche Glasgow let me re-schedule it.
1 N/S rear shock leaking. New shock £250 x 2,ordered a M030 kit instead £566 with porsche club discount,that is for 4 shocks,4 springs and 2 anti-roll bars c/w bushes.

2 Drop links worn,so will replace these at same time and also fit polybushes all round.

3 Both air-con condensers need replacing, its winter now,so I will wait till spring.Gives me a chance to obtain 2 new ones from Ebay at a good price.

Hello Peter

That sounds very well priced £566 for shocks springs and anti roll bars i guess that price is + VAT?

My car was in for a service and they have told me i need a couple of air con condensers, also took advantage of it being winter, and left it for now was going to put a post up to see where a good place to buy them didnt think about ebay. Out of intrest how much did they quote for the parts fitted?

Cheers Phil

The price includes VAT!!.

I am a mechanical engineer,so will be fitting myself. Then getting a 4 wheel geometry done.I would rather spend money on parts then labour!!.

I work offshore,so have plenty of spare time for fitting.

Hi, just joined the forum as bought my first 911 (996 C2) enjoying it so far. I was just wondering if you have fitted your new M030 suspension and how you are finding it vs the standard suspension.

The car feels more taught,I have lost a bit of the smoothness on rough roads and about town, but once you get going on a fast road its great.Lost the annoying clonks and squeeks, due to drop links and worn bushes.I guess the 4 wheel alignment has helped a great deal aswell!!
