was good, shame the Porsche parking got abit manic but all coped..

The mix of public and lack of direction from the organisers made for interesting parking for those who arrived later in the day..

But lucky no cars that I know of got damaged so all it all it was 100% what we all wanted a low key laid back event in a nice location for a fiver .. and there was lots of food and toilets!! [;)]

Except for the poor bloke in the yellow GT3 who hit a hollow and broke his splitter.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in a tranquil setting.

arr that's a shame sorry to hear that.. I think it needs to be noted that the Porsches need a little flatter area to park up.. any one able to inform the orgainsers that this was the case..

It was on the side area where the public parked one or two started to park in a secondline and then this made it narrow for 911 and 944 912 356 and others to park with out going over a rather up and down bumpy area which was a challenge for most ( and by the sounds of it the yellow car got damaged ) I have to say but made it worse and lots of people moaned was the Cayane 4x4's once one in black parked on the end of the line ( slightly in the way ) 2 more joined in and then that blocked the access EVEN MORE!!!!!! I saw one 911 just scrape out it's belly over the bumpy area just had to keep moving inorder not to get stuck!! very poor Esp when these things are 4x4's ( sorry was this the first time they went off the road!! [:D]) should have made there way round the back and started a new line up as they were able to get closer to the main area round the back way with out blocking the main entrance for us lot..

I hope it can be repaired, It was still a good show and well organised. It think for next year we need to be moved or better organised for more space on flatter ground..

Why can't PCGB use this venue for smaller shows any one know what the cost was to hire the place.. I bet it's less than ragley!!

Luckily the splitter itself didn't get badly damaged (it could have done if I'd driven over it with one side still attached, but luckily that didn't happen). It's held on by 15 fasteners. When it gets ripped off I tend to lose about half the fasteners but I always carry spares (they're about 12p each). It took about half an hour to refit once I was home. To refit the splitter I jack the car up with two jacks so that I can see exactly what I'm doing when I press the fasteners back.

Hi all,

Me and Wend went as well , we took my '57 camper and the 996. Wend got to drive the Porsche and didn't hang around for long on the way home!

A nice low key affair, plenty of interesting cars to look at and a surprising amount of early 930 Turbo's, which is always nice to see.

Don't think for a second Porsches are lower than many of the VW's, my bus us forever scraping it's steering box [;)]

Stu & Wend
