911 Porsche World, Wellington Country Park

Does [Awaiting Approval] mean that, like the rest of us married men, you are master in your own house - and have your wife's (AKA SWMBO) permission to say so???:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Just my luck - as I'm typing this it changes from [Awaiting Approval] to proper text!!

i went along this weekend and must say i was a little bit diasapointed it took 30 mins to get in because there was only one entrance and exit so all cars going in and leaving were going through the one ,then dying for a wee i qued at the single porta toilet for another 20 minutes there were some nice cars on show but the auto jumble consisted of two stalls and the only other porsche trade stand was the smart wax fella.the rest of the day was camper vans and beetles .... roll on kirtlington next year :)

Yes I agree with Chris,
The organisation was poor..I resorted to going for a walk and found a nice tree to pee behind in the end. Getting in was a nightmare and getting out just as bad. Poor trade representation as well. I went a couple of years ago and it was much more well organised.

The lady on the gate said they were moving the show elsewhere next year due to the problems you mention, but that it would still be in the same general area.

Took 35mins to get in myself :0(

Cheaper than Blenheim though

Fo me its only a few miles up the road

Like others before I was most disappointed by the set up. The entrance and exit was a shambles especially seeing as there was a much more suitable gateway that gave access to the same field near the main exit. As I was leaving I stopped to let a BMW in who came up the dirt path like he was rallying. Talk about no thought. The people walking further up were visibly choking on his dust and my car was very nearly pebble dashed. Grrrrrrrrr

What concerned me more where the number of VW's with far right symbolism attached to them. I thought it was me, but in work this morning I was chatting to a colleague who went who had the same feelings.

The first one of these 2 years ago was a great sucess but now its grown to the size it has, it does need to be better organised even if it was just to point out with signs that the Visitor Centre just a 5 min walk away via the woldland walks had toilets and a cafe as well as kids play area also a lake and a railway

Mind you all you toilet moaners could have just the people on the gate for that info ? although I would have thought that the organisers could have give out a leaflet about the venue whilst taking your hard earned money ,pointing out said cafe toilets and other attractions

I do agree that the drive in is just plain stupid as most turning up in a Porsche want to show them off and would have spent time making them look good for the day only to be coverd in a layer of chalk dust and trying to do battle with cars /caravans coming the other way

Even if we weren't otherwise busy on our WOTY the afore mentioned dust was a show stopper for me. Last year I had the misfortune to be queueing behind a Boxster who did impressions of the SRN4 hovercraft every time his cooling fans cut in. Not to mention all the wet grass clipping and wild animal poo everywhere. Never again at Wellington Park.
