911 & Porsche World

I emailed the editor of 911 & PW to ask what has happened to the lux he wrote about last June/July and he says that it will feature in the next issue but can more forum members let the magazine know what they drive so articles can be featured.

Also they are featuring supercharged and turbo 944s, are any of the forum members cars featured ?

Which of our cars should be the subject of an article, Mr Empson ?

[:)] Maybe one day, but the car needs to have this current stage 'finished' first (in terms of both paint and mechanicals) and that wont be for a while yet. I too have noticed a dearth of articles on our cars recently, I even bought all the Pork mags on Sunday and they're probably the most tedius I've seen in ages [:(] (and that's not even to do with the lack of front engined content, just generally seemed rather lacklustre).

I read this too, but I will probably have to stop for fear of being really ill as I read continually of how strong the market for Porsches is. George 944T 964

The Club is developing a good relationship with 911&PW with Chris Horton (Consultant Editor) producing a new feature called Club World. As you may have noticed Chris is also assisting Stephen Mummery as our new Porsche Post news editor. While Club World is about our Club it is for all the readers of an international magazine so has to be interesting - no articles about knitting evenings at R61. With a busy calender there is plenty to report on during the summer but we have already suggested that, during the dark winter months, there may be space to do a brief section on interesting members cars. Chris was at Gaydon on Sunday, is going to Classics at the Castle, Blenheim and Kirtlington so there is every opportunity to meet him and have a chat.

I was in contact with the editor who seemed keen to profile some of the more modified 944 turbos. There are a few around that are pushing out over 450whp. Some are in fact pushing through 600whp. The only issue would be for foreign cars to have photography commensurate for an article. They profile so many modified rear engined turbos, it would be nice to see some of the front engined brigade also getting some coverage.

I believe you meant Region **? Damn, filtered out by moderators! [:D][:D][:D] I didn't know anything about this at all. Is it worth a post in the "general" area explaining it?
