911 R

Looks and sound fantastic. I fancy a 991 but love my 996 and it sound in my opinion just as good.

Unless your you're a very good Porsche customer i.e. 918 owner you've got very little chance of owning one. Only 991 to be built. It will be like the 997 special editions the Sport Classic (250 built), 997 Speedster (356 built) and the GT3 RS 4.0 (600 built) they will all be pre-sold and mostly sit appreciating in collectors air conditioned garages. Shame as it looks and sounds rather nice.

The 997 SC is another wonderful creation. As you say they will sit in collections and prices go skyward.

A manual 991 Carrera S with sports bucket seats, sports exhaust, carbon brakes, sports exhaust (not titanium, sadly) and rear-wheel steer is £98,000, so the R is really not that expensive (the difference must be more than the cost of that GT3 RS engine) when you look at the spec.

Shame it's just a (pre-sold) halo car, it really is.

But, I'll happily save the £135,000 for spending on other things (like my 996 :))
