911 SC engine re-build

To re-build a Porsche engine requires various special tools, including an engine stand. Does anyone know where they can be bought and/or hired? Something like an engine stand might be worth buying, but it is not worth buying one-off special tools that you are never likely to use again. I thought I read somewhere that the Club hires them out, but I can't find anything about it on the website. Any suggestions?

The club doesn't have an engine stand for 911s Ian you just will have to post and hope , I think you will get a positive response. I'm hoping to borrow one soon from a [CGB mamber who is also an Independent Porsche specialist. If it all goes well I might suggest to him that he hires it out , say £10-15 a week. The biggest cost with these is the engine mount cradle.
