As mentioned in my previous post, our 911 SC Register is going through a few changes and I am please to introduce your new Technical Support team made of Barry Gale and Richard Stephens. Both of them will be more than happy to reply to your technical queries, do not hesitate to post on this forum any questions you may have, and obviously other members are more than welcome to share their experiences and help as well.

As a short introduction, Richard owns a 911 SC as well as a 930 turbo a 911E rally car and a concours Ferrari 328GTS.
His SC runs with Jenvey throttle bodies and an OMEX engine management system. He has just finished rebuilding the engine converting it to 3.2L by using 98mm pistons.
A professional Chartered Engineer by trade, Richard works in product development making wireless logging equipment for the gas and water industry and leaves near Guilford.

He bought his first 911, the SC in 1993 and ran a 911E rally car in the Welsh & south Western tarmac rally championships for 6 years. Having rebuilt and modified most things on a 911 don't hesitate to tap him for technical info and help.

Barry also bought his 1981 911SC Targa in 1993 having wanted a 911 since childhood. Completing his Porsche collection is a 1969 911T (now undergoing extensive restoration) and a 2005 997 Carrera 2S Cabriolet which he drives most days.
As well as working on his Porsches, Barry makes the most of his recent retirement from the Motor Company (Chief Engineer for Commercial Vehicles) working on 1980s Japaneses Superbikes !!!
Based near Chelmsford in Essex, Barry's work has taken him all over the world even doing cold climate vehicle testing in Canada and Finland as well as hot climate testing in South Africa and Arizona..

and from the last picture he sent us, I guess you could add testing the strength of the 911 whale tail (back in 1996 with his two eldest boys looking pretty chuffed [:D])
