Wife has agreed I can increase the Porsche fleet (Have a 944T) and looking at a 911 SC this afternoon. What's a limited mileage classic insurance likely to cost. I am 53 with unblemished driving record. Need to know urgently - just your experience of cost.

Regards (I am a member despite what it says)

Hi John,
I am insured with Carole Nash and have a similarly unblemished (for now!!) record. My '79 SC costs £250 for 3000 miles.
Hope this helps

Ian

Where do you live,? That's important , I've heard of SCs being insured for under £200.00 in a low risk area area. I'm in London and pay about £270.00 with AON.

John

I live in Aylesbury Bucks (HP21) postcode, and I insured my 1982 "Y" reg SC with Lancater Insurance Services www.lancaster-ins.co.uk with 20,000 miles a year for £530 approx, but I did a check and 3000 miles is £168.55, I am 33 years old with a company car aswell, so check out the online classic quote button, this works better as they have a lot of pre-determined cars set up so know what to charge and I paid £15 extra and the agreed a value of £10,500 for my car.

Hope this helps

Roy.

Thanks Guys - that is most encouraging. I am viewing in about 1.5 hours time and I hope it's not a basket case. Present owner say's it's a good one - but we will see.

Thanks again.
