911 SC Trim Refurbishment Help

Hi Folks

This is our first post here, we have a 1983 SC that we are recommissioning. We are after some guidance on how to refurbish the rubber trim used on the boot lid (whale tail) and door mirrors. They are in good condition but a little faded. Do you folks have advice about what products to use to return the origin look ?

Thanks for the comments! Removed the engine lid tonight, looks in good condition so hopefully the rubber will unbolt ok. Will try autoglym bumper care then.

I would not try and undo the nuts holding the rubber lip on the spoiler, there is a good chance you will pull the studs out

Thanks for the heads up T911UK, she is due into paint end of the year and I'm getting her stripped. I asked the body shop if they mask the tail or remove, they said always remove. I've experienced the joys of snapped studs on the lower valance rubber ;-(. At this point I'm assuming I will need to replace the Smile (inner metal work totally shot), lower valance rubber (stud and clips totally corroded). I'm hoping the whale tail will be OK (really hoping) I will post a pic in a mo
