Wayne,

Do try to post as well on www.impactbumpers.com

That forum specialises in impact bumper 911 porsches and it is UK based; there is a wealth of information available on things that are "not factory delivered" so to speak.

I have not seen such an airbox: would you perhaps like to clarify?

Also, I jsut caught up with the thread on your magnesium case; I'll contribute to that there.

Thanks Bert i will have a look on there. Site always seems to slip my mind. I have to say i have not seen one befor but would be interested to find out. What difference it would make to the actuall engine i dont no but im sure it would never detonate like the plastic ones suffer from. I do have a valve fitted but would be a nice improvemnet to the look of the engine also. Can you clarify the one i have in the picture? What engine this is?

It looks like a Turbo engine of some sort. Somewhat modified by the looks of it. As such I don't think the airbox will work with your engine.

Hi Wayne,

Well, I have no idea what engine it could be but... considering that the engine shroud cover is red and that the airbox is typically for a k-jetronic, I'd hazard a guess that it is a three litre, but it looks full of trickery and is that backdated heating I see? Where did you found the picture?

Kind regards,

Bert

This was on the pelican part forum. They say its a 930 engine but clearly it does not have 930 set up so not sure. As said it is a cis set up but nt sure what has been done. Any info would be great, especially if its a turbo 3.0!! How interesting.
