Does anybody know the basic purchase price of a 911 Turbo in January 1987?

I am interested to compare with the cost of my Supersport at that time.

Geoff

Hi,

I ordered mine in January 1987 in Germany. The basic price was 109649.12 marks plus vat for a LHD. About 3 to 1 the exchange rate. The basic options were another 6000 marks plus vat.

I hope this helps.

Regards
John

Thanks for that information John.

It's interesting that that the Supersport could have been about the same price, judging by info coming back on the 3.2 register.

Thanks Oliver

It's amazing the price in 1987, more than I thought!

Thanks for the info

Sorry dont know the price of a Tubo at that time. However I do have the Porsche Price list for the Basic cars as of 01.09.87

So for the Basic Coupe/Targa Supersport /SSE with car tax and VAT the total was £47.232.04
And for the Basic Supersprot/SSE Cabriolet -------------------"--------------------£50.587.42

I Also hold the price list for all the optional extras dated the same.

P.S. In comparison the narrowed body Coupe/Targa was £9911.86 (approx[:D]) less on the same price list.[;)]
So in summary you must have had plenty of Wonger to jusify nearly £10K the extra charged for the basic Supersport[:D]
No wonder the Supersport is rare[8D]

Hi John

Thanks for the info, yes I'm sure the price has created the rarity, there are only 22 identified coupes from those built between 1987-89
.

Another member is sending me the option costs, so I can work out it's original price.

Many thanks again for the info.

Geoff

Many thanks for that info, I now know the prices of SSE & Turbo's for that period. Hey! it was a lot of money then!

Sorry for the late reply, had computer issues.

Thanks

Geoff
