911 Turbo running costs

Guest

New member
Hi,

I am thinking of buying a RHD 930 or LHD 964 T2 for £20k. I am budgetting £2k per year on running costs (excl. insurance and petrol) and I'm planning on keeping it at least 3 years and doing no more than 5k miles per year - so £6k total. Am I being realistic?

Cheers,

Tim.

Assuming that you buy a good one in the first place I would say that amount was more than sufficient.
Have fun looking - there are some nice ones about.

Dont tell everyone or the prices will go up!Newer Porsches depreciate by that much in months not years! Good luck.

Cheers All,

I'll keep on looking then! Anyone knows of a good 'un, let me know.

Cheers,

Tim.

Well your plan and your budgeting are extemely sensible.

Take you time on finding the right one and if you're doing sensible mileage you should save a £1k per annum on your budget .. which you can always keep to one side for the emergency fund or upgrades.

Looks like Gmund have a nice one in, around your budget (no affiliation)

All,

Well I've gone and done it and bought a 1992 LHD 964 Turbo from Gmund Cars - the one Dr. Dave mentioned.

It looks and sounds great!

Thanks for all your help and advice.

Cheers,

Tim.
