911 Wanted

Sorry, I don't know a massive amount about Porsches yet. Ideally I'd like a model without the tail fin and I thought these were the SCs. Perhaps these are earlier and more expensive than I can afford or 912?

UK model SCs (the 911 model from 1977 up until 1983 when the 3.2 Carrera arrived, which looked very very similar) had the 'tail fin' if they were the Sport variant, this also included larger 16" wheels and uprated suspension. These were extras supplied as a 'Sport' package that were supplied separately outside the UK. There are plenty of non-Sport (and Sport) SCs around should you want one, a testament to the fact (somebody please quote the exact figure please) that over 70% of all Porsches ever made are still on the road.
