Pictures taken earlier this month when the Goodwood Road Racing Club held a trackday for 'classic cars'.
My 911 was the only Porsche present and there were some serious racers out - an alphabetic run of C , D and E type Jags as well as AC Cobra and Ford GT40.....

Any way was fast enough to overtake a Farina Austin A40 piloted by Mark Hales.....hooray !!!

Car is pretty light being a 1969 model and it does have a 2.4S engine and gearbox fitted , as well as SC brakes and RS suspension parts. I will be taking it to Ninemeister 's rolling road to check the power output next week....will report back.

John,
Lovely pictures of a lovely car(s)-I am just jealous, however it does bring back memories of Doc Taylor trouncing Jags,Galaxies etc initially in an Austin A35(my 1st car was an A30 with twin 1.1/8 SU's,straight thru exhaust & APV brakebleed valves) &then his A40-I can't remember him passing Porsches or if any used to be in the races.

Cheers ,Colin.

Yes certainly brings back memorys I used to byke up to Snetterton and remember the A35's & A40's dicing with the Jags.Berny.
