Good afternoon,I am need of a electric fuel pump for the above car,the car is also fitted with mechanical injection.

can anybody help with this issue

Thanks

There are 2 alternatives as the original Bosch pump is no longer available.
1. Contact Ken Mills at Ken Mills Injection Ltd, 020 7385 7138. He can sell you a kit using a different type of pump for around £145. It works very well, I fitted one recently to a customer's 2.4E and several other specialists have also fitted them.
2. I can sell you a very close replica of the original pump for £300

The last time I spoke with Porsche AG to enquire about the roller cell type of fuel pumps as used in the MFI injected cars they said Bosch were waiting for a big enough order for them to warrant a manufacturing production run. The cost would be somewhere around £600 to £700 ! It seems that as the old pumps wear out the specialists are finding other ways to pump fuel to the MFI units to keep the cars running. I know Autofarm have a pump they could offer as a replacement although it doesn't look anything like the original, but you don't see it when it is installed. (probably similar to one from Nick) The flow rate needs to be between 1000ml to 1500ml per minute to work properly (thats 1 to 1.5 litres/minute) Incidentally the one on my 2.4 911S has done around 250000 miles which must be around 65000 litres at least during its continuing life, but for how much longer??

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies, the customer has decided due the extensive rust on the floor and the front chassis cross piece that its not going to be financially viable to proceed with repairs. If anybody would like to make an offer for the car, please contact me.
