911L real value??

What are these cars worth in restored condition? Clearly they are a lot cheaper than T, E and S models, is that purely
down to power? There is a restored one on car and classic in yellow at 16k showing 99miles. I've no idea weather this is a good price? I spotted some lovely E models at Goidwood last weekend. I'm thinking they may be the better model to go for both value wise and for driving pleasure???

The 911L is a SWB car with 130 bhp. The SWB cars REALLY suffer with rust, and it would be impossible to restore one within the £16K asking price, so you need to ask what has been done in the so-called restoration. In general SWB cars, apart from the very rare 911S, fetch less money than the LWB cars, partly because of their handling reputation and partly as they are less easy to live with on a day to day basis, with a less sophisticated heating and ignition systems. The LWB 911T also has 130 bhp, in 2.0, 2.2 and 2.4 capacities depending on the year. I suggest you get yourself on a specialist forum such as DDK and get a couple of books so that you can identify the different models. The early cars (and I include cars up to 1989 now) suffer severely from rust, and the pre 74 cars in particular need a spend of £30K or more to find a good car these days.

Many tks, i spotted a 911 E on PH that sold for close to 30k that had been fully restored although on original engine at 138k miles.
