911SC with Factory 3.1 Ltr engine

Gentlemen-
I am the owner of a 1980 Targa with a factory 3.1 liter engine. I have owned the car for 25 years and it presently has just shy of 28,000 original miles. I am gathering information on this rare factory motor for possible publication in the near future and would be grateful for any input available regarding details on the engine and any other known examples.
