Just purchased my first 911 a 3.2 Carrera (1984). I have been driving Porsche cars for many years but it would seem I have met my match with this car. The heavy clutch is not a problem, the problem is finding the bite point on the clutch pedal when trying to get away from traffic lights etc.
The pedal travel is long and I am wondering if a [FONT=arial"]Rennline Aluminum floor board and dead pedal, drivers side
may be the answer? Would the board give me a shorter base to work from in finding the the clutch bite position? Has/have any members used or come across this item? Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Maybe more practice is needed but in heavy traffic I am finding it a handful.
