924 lower rear spoiler

I was rummaging through my spares the other day and realised that the rear spoiler that fits beneath the rear valance as on the 944 turbo is different than that fitted to the 924. The one I have is off a 924 and goes further up the sides of the car than the 944 type and won't fit the 944 due to the flared arches. Can someone satisfy my curiosity and tell me what 924 model had this type of spoiler fitted.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was the very last 1988, 924S. From photographs that I have seen the very last 924S's had a rounded lower chin spoiler/valance at the front, a 944 S2 style spoiler/valance at the rear, and could be ordered with D90 wheels. I think it made the car look pregnant! Too heavy on the eye. Although I do really like the S2 rear spolier /valance on the 944 and it would suit the 924 if the rap around side bit where removed.

Thanks for the reply, although I personally removed the spoiler from a 924 I didn't take note of what model it was. I think the fact that the heavens opened while I was removing it diverted my attentions somewhat. However, I tend to remember the car being an X reg although I could be wrong.
